Douglas Moore of Walnut Creek: A Mentor to Youth

Douglas Moore of Walnut Creek has been an active member of his community for years, and has been giving back unabashedly since his investing career began. Mr. Moore loves his community, and also values educators and mentors to youth, because as an investor, Mr. Moore has always been interested in the well-being where he works and lives. This is why Mr. Moore himself has served as a coach, teacher, and mentor to youth through various volunteer groups and other programs. Douglas Moore of Walnut Creek also loves sports, and spent some time as head coach of the Walnut Creek Youth Football Team the Marauders. With Mr. Moore's guidance, the team not only grew and prospered socially and personally, but also functioned so well that they won the Turkey Bowl in the 1999 season. Mr. Moore says that the team's success was pinned on their ability to communicate, as well as their commitment to excellence.

Douglas Moore of Walnut Creek is an investor, and as an investor, he can't help but be interested in the future, which is why he spends much time tutoring children. Mr. Moore can't emphasize enough the importance of being a strong and positive role model for the community’s youth, and goes a step further to say that it is one of your responsibilities as an adult, to acknowledge that your behavior is likely to be reflected and mimicked by the children of the neighborhood. That is why Mr. Moore spent many years as a mentor in the Boy Scouts program for Walnut Creek, as well as time spent being a swim team coach, showing his own personal dedication to his belief. Mr. Moore says that being a positive role model has been his pleasure, and he learns as much as he teaches.
